My last weeks at home were spent venturing to museums, cruising to the beach, seeing friends, and eating ice cream – cramming all of the things I meant to do throughout the summer into two mere weeks that may have felt longer than the whole summer. On Sunday, I went to the Metropolitan Museum of Art with my parents and cousins where I finally saw their exhibit in the costume institute. China: Through the Looking Glass was a stunning collection of Chinese artifacts and Oriental inspired couture from an abundance of fashion houses including Chanel, Rodarte, and Dior. I would definitely recommend this exhibit which ends on Septempber 7.
For my OOTD – I was definitely struggling that morning. As the summer draws to an end, it is increasingly difficult to mix and match my clothes. I’m starting to crave some cooler weather and bring out some new seasonal pieces. I decided to keep it simple with a loose turtleneck dress and metallic cutout booties. I paired it with my vintage Fendi bag to complete the look.
